Privacy Policy
This policy explains what FranchiseHQ collects and how that data is used to run your league tools.
What we collect
- Google identity: when you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, name, verified email address, and profile image. We use these to authenticate you and maintain your session.
- Discord identity: when you sign in or link Discord, we receive your Discord ID, username, global name, avatar URL, and the servers available to your account. We use these to recognize you, connect you to the correct leagues, and enforce league permissions.
- League data: roster, schedule, standings, and stats exported from EA's Madden Companion App to your league. This data stays scoped to your league's Discord guild.
- Activity and content: game results, pick'em entries, coin transactions, trade votes, trade proposals, stream links, commissioner commands, settings, and other content you submit while using the product.
- Search queries: player, team, and command searches are sent to our servers to return matching league results. They are processed for the requested search and are not used for advertising.
- Mobile notifications: if you enable push notifications, we store an Expo push token, a generated device identifier, platform, league, and notification preferences so we can deliver the alerts you select.
- Product analytics and attribution: we process first-party session and installation-attempt identifiers, page and CTA interactions, safe source or campaign values, coarse device and browser class, allowlisted error families, and event timing to understand setup and product reliability. Trusted league outcomes are joined server-side; browser success screens are not treated as authoritative.
- Logs: request IPs, user-agents, and error traces for operational debugging. Rotated on a 30-day window.
What we don't collect
- EA Companion passwords — we exchange a one-time code for an access token; the password never reaches our servers.
- Discord DMs, voice traffic, or any guild data outside your league's configured channels.
- Payment card details — Stripe processes these on its own infrastructure when billing is enabled.
How we use it
League data drives product features such as standings, recaps, trade analysis, and pick'em scoring. Google and Discord identity data provides authentication, account management, league access, and security. Activity and content power the actions you request, while device identifiers and notification preferences deliver optional alerts. We do not sell personal data, run ads, or use this data for advertising.
Service providers
We send data only as needed to providers that operate the service: Google and Discord for authentication, Railway for hosting, PostHog for product analytics, Expo for optional mobile push notifications and app updates, Stripe for billing, and Anthropic for commissioner-initiated AI features. Payment card details remain with Stripe. These providers process data on our behalf or when you explicitly request the associated feature.
Delete your FranchiseHQ account and data
The Coach Lefty mobile app lets a signed-in user initiate deletion directly from the Connection screen. Type DELETE in the in-app confirmation to remove active first-party account data and revoke the current session.
If you cannot access the installed app, use the public Account & Data Deletion resource for the alternate verified-request path, scope, retention exceptions, and league-wide request instructions.
Your controls
- Sign out at any time from the user menu in the top bar.
- Request a data export or account deletion using the process above; the public deletion resource explains scope and limited retention exceptions.
- Commissioners can remove the bot from Discord at any time, which stops new collection for that guild. Previously stored shared league data remains subject to the retention and deletion rules above.
Changes
If we materially change this policy we'll post a notice on the homepage and (if you have an account) in the dashboard before the change takes effect.
